1st...top...with Lipscomb on the mound, first Heber Spring batter reaches on a 1-2 single to left.  Next batter pops a bunt attempt foul:  Unteriner catches and doubles the runner off first.  Next batter singles but Untereiner nails him trying to steal two pitches later.  An eventful inning for Untereiner with a putout and two assists!  bottom...Max Kohn leads off with a line drive single through the six hole and moves up to third on two passed balls...Chase Migas works a full count walk and Friedman promptly lines to left for a sac fly.  Quakers lead 1-0.  On a crossed up sign, Hefter bunts on the next play.  He is out at first and Migas moves to second.  Lipscomb helps his own cause with an RBI single to center field.  Tierney bounces out to short to end the inning.  Quakers 2, Heber Springs 0.

 

2nd...top...a quick inning for the Quakers with two fly outs to Davies in right; Lipscomb records a backwards K for his first of the game and the Quakers' first of the trip...bottom...Untereiner reaches to lead off the inning on E6 by Herber Springs...Patterson, in to courtesy run, advances to third on a botched pickoff attempt...Marcou goes down swinging for out number one... Davies rips a liner to center for a single that scores Patterson puts the Quakers up 3-0.

 

3rd...top...1-2-3 inning (6-3, K, F8)...bottom...Quakers reach twice (Hefter on walk and Lipscomb on E6) but are held scoreless.

 

4th...top...Sarro enters for Migas; Ethan Kohn for Davies; Yamazaki replaces Lipscomb as pitcher (Lipscomb to first, replacing Marcou)...strike out starts the inning; next batter reaches on E5 and moves up on a stolen base; base hit to left scores a runner; 6-3 groundout leaves a runner on third with two outs. Another strikout ends the inning...bottom...Max Kohn singles with two outs, steals second, and advanes to third on a passed ball.  Sarro comes back from 0-2 to draw a walk but Friedman flies out to deep centerfield to end the inning.

 

5th...top...Patterson enters for Hefter... Herber Springs scores 1 on a double, a stolen base, and a single, bringing the score to 3-2 Sidwell....bottom....Patterson starts off with a walk. Lipscomb flies to deep center...centerfielder bobbles and drops, letting Lipscomb reach second base and also bringing Patterson home to make the score 4-2 Sidwell. Lipscomb advances on pass ball to third. Tierney up to plate, works to a full count and rips one up the middle for a single and hits Lipscomb home in the process. Sidwell 5-2. Untereiner advances Tierney on a groundout for out number one. Yamazaki walks. Berstein into to courtesy run for Yamazaki. Kohn goes down swinging for 2nd out. Kohn bounces one to third and beats it out to load the bases. Inning ends on a full count strikeout.

 

6th...top...Yamazaki records two quick outs (5-3 ground ball and 1-3 bunt) but then a base hit, HBP, and BB leaves the bases loaded...Logan Matthiesen in to relieve with a 2-0 count and bases loaded, a tall order for his varsity debut!  Two strikes but the hitter lifts one just over the head of right fielder Ethan Kohn.  Score is tied at 5.  6-3 ground out ends the inning...bottom...Friedman starts with a liner to the second baseman for 1st out. Patterson goes down swinging for the second out. Lipscomb goes down swinging as well, sending the game into the final inning tied up at 5.

 

7th...top...leadoff walk and sac bunt puts a runner on second with one out...a wild pitch and a passed ball allow one to score...Untereiner catches another runner stealing and Lipscomb catches a pop-up at first to end the inning.  Quakers need a run to force extras.   bottom...Tierney pops out to third... Untereiner has a nice shot between center and right for a single. Bernstein rips one to the second baseman who misfields... Quakers with runners on first and second with one out. Ethan Kohn grounds back to pitcher and advances runners to second and third with two outs. Max Kohn rips a shot to the left side, which looks to be a game winner ... but the line drive is nabbed by their shortstop to end the game.
