Sidwell hit the ball well and played a clean game defensively to defeat St. Andrew’s in five innings. Although the Quakers came out flat in the first inning and allowed two runs, pitcher Luke Friedman soon settled down and struck out seven over four innings to get the win. Sidwell batted around in the fourth inning, scoring ten runs through hits, walks, and steals to finally put the game out of reach. The offense was effective partly because the Quakers only struck out once, and almost all balls put in play were hit hard either on a line or on the ground.
