Sidwell jumped on the Hoppers early and didn't look back, cruising to a 10-1 win. The Quakers took advantage of GDS mistakes with timely hitting that resulted in two four-run innings. Every starter had at least one hit, while Tray Brown, Peter Bell, and Matt McLaughlin each had two hits, with McLaughlin contributing a double and a triple. Sidwell's pitching was superb, with McLaughlin and Chase Plebani combining for a one-hit complete game with nine total strikeouts to only four walks. The Quakers will need to continue to combine sound defense, few walks, and consistent hitting if they are to be successful in the second round of MAC play.
