In the first home game since Spring Break, the Quakers played well. Behind starter Ankit Patel, who threw three scoreless innings, the Quaker defense was solid, highlighted by Ben Schwartz who saved numerous throwing errors at first base and centerfielder Oliver Heggli-Nonay, who made a diving catch on a fly ball in the left center gap.
The bats came alive for Sidwell, with numerous line-drive hits up and down the lineup, highlighted by a three-RBI triple by Hugo Carney, who drove a ball all the way to the scoreboard in deep left center field. The Quakers ran the bases aggressively and capitalized on a few miscues by Capitol Christian and won the game 13-3 in five innings.
