Sidwell rode excellent hitting en route to a close win over Potomac. Though defensive mistakes still cost the Quakers runs, a few spectacular plays, including diving plays up the middle by Brenner Bernstein (2B) and Logan Matthiesen (SS) took away some of the sting.
The prolific offense was highlighted by Stephanie Everett, who drove in four crucial runs, and Riley Davies who hit two well-timed doubles as well as a single up the middle.
The pitching by starter Logan Matthiesen and reliever Tyrone Patterson was solid and only included three walks issued over the seven innings.
