Sidwell played excellent defense, hit well, and got a great pitching performance from Chase Plebani to make for a one-sided game against a solid opponent in Riverdale Baptist.

The offense was strong for the Quakers throughout the game and managed to score runs in five different innings. The team recorded three extra base hits and moved base runners well. Sidwell did an excellent job keeping the ball out of the air and executed two sacrifices perfectly.

Chase Plebani made it easy going for the defense. In a complete game effort, he struck out a staggering 13, while only allowing two hits and three walks. His shutout was blown in the bottom of the seventh on a throw down attempt gone (very) bad. When the ball sailed over first base and into right field, the two Riverdale runners made it around the bases and home. But, this ending did nothing to take away from Plebani's dominant performance (especially since he struck out the next two batters to end the game) or from the fine play from all players throughout the game.
