The following was the live player-written “broadcast” of the game – with minor edits for errors and content.

Here we are on a sunny Sunday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports.

1st...TOP...Max Kohn starts it off in the top of the 1st for Sidwell Friends. Max sends a shot right back up the middle but the cunning and quick pitcher makes a quick grab and throws it to first for the out. Sammy (Slammy) Singer up to bat. He rips the ball to right-center and upon reaching second base sends the dugout the obligatory "LET'S EAT" sign, which is welcomed with cheers. The team is feeling the bat today. Tyrone (Reese) Patterson up to bat. Slammy takes a leap of faith down toward third base and slides in safe for a steal. Tyrone reaches first on a walk. Michael (UNT/Mikey/MIIIIKE) Untereiner comes to the plate. Reese steals second, runners on third and second now. Mike sends a hard chopper up the middle and both runners score; The German has pulled through again. Ethan (Romo) Kohn up to the plate. He sends a grounder to short, and the lead runner is caught at second. George (GEORGEY/GMIII) Marcou steps up. Kohn steals second. GMIII beautifully blasts a rocket double to center and knocks Kohn home. Logan (LOOOGES) Matthiesen comes up to bat. Marcou stands proudly on second base, his swagger flowing through the breeze. Logan makes great contact but the right fielder catches it in the air. A solid first inning for the Quakers...BOTTOM...Logan Matthiesen takes the mound for the Sidwell Quakers. Coming right off of the team's first game, the defense feels warmed up, alive, and spirited. Winning is on our minds. No. 14 for Shipley comes up to the plate. Matthiesen's first pitch lands right in the zone, he is looking good. No. 14 sends a shot back up the middle and neither Tyrone nor Max can get there in time. Even with a middle infield as ingenious as this, we have to accept that some hits just aren't meant to be caught. No. 13 up to bat. Logan misses in the dirt and the runner proceeds to second. The hitter sends a grounder to third and Spenser Hyun plays the ball to first. One out, runner on second. No. 12 comes up to the plate and sends a shot to the right side of the infield. Second baseman Max plays the ball to first, and the runner proceeds to third. Two outs now. The next batter comes up and rips a ball to third base. Hyun sends the ball to first to get the out, but the ball gets out of reach for GMIII. The batter reaches third on the play. No. 3 comes up to bat. Matthiesen is looking to step up here and send the boys to go hit. He strikes out No. 3 and holds their runs to 1. Time to go eat.

2nd...TOP...Spenser (heeee's a sopohomoreeee) Hyun starts off the top of the second inning. The sophomore has been proving his abilities at every chance he has had. He starts off the inning with determination. Hyun sends a hard chopper toward third, but a good play by the third baseman beats Spenser by inches. Oscar (Boochy Boocherstein) Boochever steps up to the plate. Despite the good-looking swings, he strikes out on a good at bat. Top of the order is back, with Max (Shmaxy) Kohn. With chocolate milkshakes on his mind to keep him calm, he rips a ball toward second base. With the the help of a little bobble by the second baseman, Max and his speed-demon legs get him to the base with time to spare. Sammy steps up to the plate, and on the first pitch Shmaxy flies down to second base and slides in safe for a steal. On a passed ball, Shmaxy takes third and puts himself in position to score. With patience and determination, Singer pulls a walk and trots to first. Tyrone up to bat. Singer steals second, and the catcher throws down to second. Max runs for home, but shortstop cuts off the throw and on a good play narrowly catches Max at homeplate. Score remains the same, time for some D...BOTTOM...No. 24 up to bat. He sends a chopper to third that Hyun fields beautifully and relays toward first. Marcou stretches like a rubber band but unfortunately his foot slips off the base. Runner gets on base. Next batter comes up. Matthiesen walks the batter. Coach Simon calls a meeting at the mound, and switches Hyun and Shmaxy. Max Kohn's hair flows freely in the Floridian breeze. He looks comfortable anywhere on the field. Alright maybe not catcher. Hyun stands confidently at second. A foul ball goes down the first base line, and Coach Mormino and Nadler take off on a death defying race for the title of best slowest runner on the team. Mormino wins. Matthiesen strikes out the batter. One down, runners on second and first. No. 10 comes up to the plate. No. 10 sends a chopper straight to Logan, who sends it over to Max at third to grab the lead runner. The team remains calm and composed, with the top of the order coming up. Two down. No. 14 sends a shot to the right side of the infield which gets through to score a run. Runners now on third and first. Next batter up to the plate. Matthiesen brings the count to 1-2, but on a strikeout pitch the hitter slices a ball over Hyun's head. Runner from third comes in, men on first and second now. Logan continues to deliver strikes. Next batter up. Count full. No. 13 rips a ball to right field. Boochever gets under it but the ball slips out of his glove and rolls to the fence. Runners on second and first come home, No. 13 makes his way to third. Next batter up to the plate. He slices a ball into right, that Booch lays out for but narrowly misses. Runner comes in, and the batter makes his way to third. No. 3 comes up to the plate. Runner on third scores on a passed ball, Shipley tacks on some runs. Logan strikes out No. 3, inning over. Sidwell has to step up here and take back the lead.

3rd...TOP...Tyrone jumps on the first pitch he sees and drives to deep right field for a leadoff double. Daassuunt is up ready to eat and he succesfully andvances the runner. Red Bird gets that ribbie as he hits a groundball to the first baseman. GM3 steps up but he strikes out swinging...BOTTOM...Logan shows his majestic control as he forces a quick pop up to the shortstop, Tyrone. Logan is on fire but unfortunately Tyrone has trouble on the throw after fielding a ground ball and the batter runner reaches first and advances to second. After looking at Max for advice, Logan comes right back and strikes out the next batter. Logan walks the next batter and then surrenders a hit which scored Shipley's 8th run. Logan then forces a routine popout to third for the third out.

4th...TOP...Logan Matthiesen hits a chopper and the shortstop magically fields the ball without looking at it, and makes a sharp throw to first to beat Logan to the bag. The Sophomore goes up to the plate and gets a single down the left field line. Boochy steps up and hits a shot to left field, but unfortunately the left fielder makes a nice catch on the run. Spenser steals second and scrapes his elbow up diving but is safe. Max Kohn hustles down the line, but is called out at first on a bang-bang play. Simon compliments Max's hustle, and Tyrone complains about his legs hurting...BOTTOM...Logan glances towards the bench and delivers a pitch which is driven to right field and Oscar is unable to make the catch. The next batter hits a groundball to short, it's fielded by Tyrone, but George is unable to keep his foot on the bag at first, so the runner is safe. The next hitter steps up and hits a bloop single to right, driving in a run. Logan's next pitch is a huge chopper, which Max is unable to field. Ethan Kohn now takes the mound, and delivers a double play ground ball to Tyrone who executes the play smoother than a baby's bottom. Ethan then records a strike out to end the inning.

5th...TOP...Sammy Singer (such a baseball name) steps up for Sidwell, down 10-4, and flys out to right. Tyrone then chops a grounder up the middle that catches the shortstop by surprise - he's safe at first, and steals second within two pitches. 6th...TOP...(Tyrone's legs still hurt)...Avery smacks one to short and forces an error, getting to second....Steph Everett flys out to center...Big Baby Booch is struck out...a reliever comes in...Kaoru smashes one deep into right-center for a double, scoring 1...Bennet "Big Boy" Tierney flys out to center...BOTTOM...Base hit up the middle to start the inning....another hit...and another hit...Tyrone snags a ball up the middle and turns a neat double play (one runner scores)....a single scores the man on third ...another single to right (men on first and third)...Ethan "Beastmode" "The REDBIRD" "Jerry" "Goonsquad" Kohn takes command of the infield and grabs a pop-up for the third out.
