Sidwell Friends swept another season series, this time against rival Maret with a 5-2 team victory under a clear blue sunny sky. While the team broke out for a baker's dozen hits, the game also proved well-managed by the Quaker pitching staff.

Making his first start in more than a month, Jake Levine kept loud bats quiet throughout the afternoon, limiting the visiting Frogs to frequent rollovers and routine fly balls, striking out a pair through three strong innings. Next up, making his debut, was outfielder Tanner Drant, who, after nearly making an all-out diving play out of left field earlier, entered the game in a 2-2 tie and made quick work of the Frogs, facing but three more than the minimum to go along with a trio of strikeouts. Lastly, after Maret would load the bases in the last inning, first baseman turned closer Teddy Friedman would get the save to end the well played game and get the Quakers back in the win column.

As the aforementioned hits were aplenty, none proved to be bigger than off the bat of outfielder Damond Green, notching what would be the game winning RBI after beating out an infield single in the third.

A few hard practices await the victors as they turn their sights to a tough Gonzaga squad for a date on Friday.
